vegan biltong

CAPE TOWN Big thanks to Albert from V-Life. He has been supplying us with vegan biltong all along the route, and we have been sharing it with the people and stores we encounter.  Try it !

Our contributing community ...

As we ride, we encounter a community of kind people who are eager to be part of our experience.

We'd like to mention you all and appologise for any omissions. Thanks for your support :)

CAPE TOWN Damian from DMQ Trading got behind our cause and gave us cycling gloves, money belts, cellphone holders, waterproof watches and water bottles. Thank you, Damian, for your generosity.

VILLIERSDORP Johannie from De Villiers Country Lodge was amazing. She just wanted to "mother" us, which we didn't mind at all.

BONNIEVALE We met this amazing couple at our (Gecko sponsored) breakfast and they invited us to spend the night at their cottage by the river.

GREYTON Thanks to Rohan for hosting us in the fabulous straw-bale house that he built himself.  He is a fountain of knowledge on all things sustainable and relating to health & veganism.

BARRYDALE Talented professional photographer Graham Abbott opened his home to us in Barrydale, and gave us some tips on photography and organic gardening.

R62 (BARRYDALE) Hard to describe the magnificence of Magic Mountains healing centre. Huge thanks to Susan (& Rosa) whose food was out of this world. Also great to meet her wonderful volunteers.

Gecko Printing

BONNIEVALE The wonderful Chantel (and her son, JP) at Gecko Printing, who treated us to an awesome vegan breakfast at Relish and wrote an article for the local paper.

VAN WYKSDORP Ricky's Drift is a refuge in the Klein Karoo for people sensitive to chemicals and  EMFs. It is a magical, organic haven, run by Ricky and his wonderful partner, Louise.

BRANDRIVIER Apparently the smallest town in South Africa. After knocking on his door, Jaco led us to his childhood farm where we spent a peaceful night.

OUDTSHOORN Sven's old school friend Marius owns a splendid backpackers lodge where we spent a few nights. Best place to stay in Oudtshoorn on a budget.

UNIONDALE Thank goodness for Dave, who took us in on a rainy, cold night. Definitely the friendliest guest house in town, well situated next to a restaurant.

MISGUND After searching everywhere for a place to stay, Robin kindly offered us a room in his family home. They have been farming here for at least 3 generations. Awesome to meet you & your mom.

PORT ELIZABETH This incredible vegan couple left their house for us to use while they went on holiday, allowing us to update our social media, do laundry and eat like kings. We love you guys ... & your vegan dogs :)
